Jubilee 2025: Pilgrims of Hope in the Heart of Rome

A journey of faith, inclusion, and renewal as we celebrate the Holy Year together as one Deaf community.

The Jubilee Journey: Our Living Testimony

We set out not just as travelers, but as Pilgrims of Hope. Our journey began with a simple but profound truth: no matter how dark the moment, love and hope are always possible. Every mile traveled was an act of faith, a step toward God’s salvation, leaving behind the barriers and detours of daily life to find joy in the path ahead.

In the heart of Vatican City, we recognized our calling. Like farmers in a field, we are here to plant the seeds of Christ’s acceptance and love. These seeds are our Deaf young people. We understand that once nurtured, these seeds grow and spread, becoming a living invitation for others to join this beautiful journey of faith and Catholic tradition.

The experience in Rome became our spiritual “GPS.” We moved from the silence of isolation to the vibrant joy of a family—the DCYIA family. Our hearts are now overflowing with endless dreams and an abundance of blessings. We have become the light of hope we were seeking, standing together as a testament to a Church that is truly inclusive and alive.

As we walked through the sacred spaces of the Vatican, a single prayer echoed in every sign and every language: Gott segne dich, God zegene je, Dios te bendiga. We return home not as the same people who left, but as witnesses of a love that transcends languages and borders.

"We are the light of HOPE the world is waiting for."
